Job Description:

• Maintain and track construction and development cost activity across active projects
• Review capitalization activity to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
• Act as a key accounting contact for construction and development-related inquiries
• Partner with internal teams to monitor build-to-suit and redevelopment project progress
• Support the timely placement of completed capital projects into service
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports related to project and capital activity
• Identify process improvement opportunities across workflows and systems
• Assist with accounting support for acquisitions, dispositions, leasing activity, and quarterly close processes
• Contribute to broader efforts to streamline oversight of portfolio-wide capital initiatives


Requirements / Qualifications:

• 2+ years of property or real estate accounting experience
• Experience with construction, development, or job cost accounting preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and capitalization accounting principles
• Prior REIT experience is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities independently
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to work onsite in New York on a hybrid schedule
