Job Description:
The Client Service Associate role handles a mix of customer service responsibilities related to investor onboarding, capital activity and information distribution. As a member of the Investor Relations Operations team, a Client Service Associate regularly interacts with the Investor Relations/Business Development team, internal and external fund counsel, the funds’ administrators, and members of the firm’s operations and accounting teams. Specific responsibilities include:
- Becoming an Investor Relations Operations subject matter expert on the firm’s investor base and investor capital activity
- Ownership of the capital activity process across 7 fund complexes and multiple funds-of-one including investor subscription, redemption, and transfer processes for our evergreen funds and multiple closings, capital calls and distributions for our commitment based funds
- Coordinate and manage investor document collection process working closely with the investor, fund administrator, and fund counsel
- Review reconciliation with fund administrators to ensure accurate processing of capital activity and investor records
- Participate in new fund launch working groups and scale team infrastructure to support new funds
- Produce and update internal reporting for the Investor Relations/Business Development team, legal and compliance, fund accounting, financing, firm accounting and the investment team
- Identify and implement process improvements across all areas of responsibility including the use of new technologies
- Assist with cross-departmental projects to improve the flow of information across the firm
- Support Customer Relationship Management (CRM) framework
- Train new resources, as applicable
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 3-8 years of relevant Operations experience at an alternative investment firm (preferred) or fund administrator
